Pokemon Go | Dynamax & Gigantamax Release

Dynamax and Gigantamax let Pokémon transform into massive versions of themselves mid-encounter, each with custom lighting, a rim glow, caustics, and a transformation moment. I built the visual effects and the pipeline behind them, on a live game with hundreds of millions of players.

- Modular Max shader (rim glow, caustics, under-lighting) composited into the base creature shader without forking it
- Custom ShaderGUI for blend modes and property visibility, so artists configure Max materials without hand-editing render state
- One-click effect-authoring tool: prop auto-sizing from bounds, socket snapping with scale clamping, prefab baking, animation-speed overrides
- Shader variant-stripping fix for DLC-streamed Gigantamax materials
- Max effects integrated into the live encounter and character systems for the transformation, landing FX, and creature-voice timing
